with Mavic 2 Pro, I can't seem to get litchi to LOOK DOWN A LITTLE during waypoint missions.
I need to fly this thing into a spot without any reception, do panoramic photos (or just a few pictures) of something down at a 45 degree angle and then fly out and back... but it won't look down, camera stays on horizon.
    what am i doing wrong?
i tried setting POI to -200ft (waypoint registers -65 degrees tilt, but doesn't actually tilt)

per a review of the litchi documentation, it seems this is because i'm disconnected, so it won't automatically tilt. any suggestions?

Bob- are you using Virtual Litchi Mission (VLM) by any chance? https://mavicpilots.com/threads/virtual-litchi-mission.31109/

Let's you visualize the flight through the camera-view by connecting with Google Earth.

I just took a quick look at Litchi "Settings" in my VLM App and I see a spot in "Actions" where it appears in the drop-down menu an option that you can select the pitch of the camera for the Waypoint.

Click on the Waypoint where you want that camera angle, go to "Actions" and look in the drop down where it says "tilt camera".

that is very cool and useful!

i was not using it, but i'll definitely be using it in the future to better plan out missions.
i found that it was spelled out in the litchi manual once the remote controller disconnects, the waypoint gimbal automation is neutered...
    Code:
    Waypoint Gimbal Pitch
Litchi can control the gimbal pitch automatically during the mission, as long as the aircraft is within range of the remote controller.
so i've set my camera tilt angle and am trying various things right now to see how i can work around this.

Bob, try the "fix" I referred to above.

I could be wrong, but I think that the gimbal pitch referred to in the manual is speaking to when have things set up in
Settings" for how you want the gimbal to perform in flight.

My suggestion is to go to the specific Waypoint where you want the gimbal angle to point down, you can set that in the "Actions".

The reason I think that will work is because ALL of those settings reside in the bird, not in the Controller. So, loss of signal between the bird and the controller should NOT effect those settings you've made in "Action". Otherwise NONE of the other actions would work if the controller loses signal with the bird.
